A new page on the site

Posted Date: Sep 6, 2016

We have added a page about the new Saint Cuthbert's Banner created by the Association

This new page is about the project undertaken by the Association to create a contemporary version of Saint Cuthbert's Banner. It tells the story of the project and a little about those involved and includes photographs from the 20th March 2012 when the Banner was welcomed into the Cathedral for the first time. It also has a link to a YouTube clip which has more photographs in a slide show.

The new Banner is now used extensively within the Cathedral in a great many services and, weather permitting, is processed from the Market Place in Durham to the Cathedral during the annual Association walk that takes place on the closest Saturday to 20th March, Saint Cuthbert's Day.
