THE NORTHUMBRIAN ASSOCIATION
STRENGTH FROM THE PAST - VISION FOR THE FUTURE
Every year we organise a walk to celebrate Saint Cuthbert’s Day, March 20th. Our walk from Chester-le-Street to Durham Cathedral was held on 18th March this year and we welcomed walkers from across the region. At Finchale Priory we had around 55 walkers joining the 70 or so who left Chester-le Street giving us record numbers on the final leg to the Cathedral. It was a great day.
If you visit Durham cathedral you can see the splendid Saint Cuthbert’s banner we commissioned from local designers and craftsmen.
You can read of the amazing work of Northumbrians young and old at Awards-Writers.
As part of our celebration of what is good about the region we have the annual Hotspur Award. Why not propose a person or organisation for the Award?
Keep an eye out for news of new developments in the Association as we look to build upon our past success.
